Jad Shaaban became a member of the Management Board of FAR in the summer of 2019.
He was born in Casablanca, Morocco. He spent his childhood in Morocco, Côte d'Ivoir, and Syria, where he studied in French and Arabic.
He graduated high school in Bulgaria and pursued his higher education in Anthropology and Archaeology at the New Bulgarian University.
He has worked in the field of trade as an administrator of online sales.
He has a lot of experience working with refugees who are seeking or have received international protection. He has worked on different projects in the UNHCR, the Bulgarian Red Cross, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and other non-governmental organizations.
Since the beginning of 2019, he has been working as Relations with the communities assistant within the UNHCR and FAR agreement for granting legal aid to stateless persons.
His expertise is in the field of humanitarian aid, intercultural relations, direct communication with people and seeking the best solutions to each individual case.
