The Foundation for Access to Rights (FAR) is seeking to add an operational accountant to its team.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Higher education in accounting or economics, or secondary economic education with solid experience as an accountant, in accordance with the Accounting Act requirements.
- Proficiency in information technology, with excellent skills in office software like Microsoft Office, Google Forms, as well as online communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.).
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, deadline adherence, and responsibility.
- Previous professional experience in operational accounting is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Bulgarian or English is an advantage.
- Respect for human rights, professional boundaries, and ethics.
- Precision, open-mindedness, teamwork skills, and ability to support the work of other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks related to the control of proper handling of primary documents, accounting documents, and maintaining payroll. Prepare documents related to financial activities.
- Chronologically record accounting operations and maintain systematic accounting records for summarizing financial information.
- Prepare extracts and reports from analytical accounts, turnover statements, and other balance sheets.
- Participate in committees during inventories or checks of accountable persons.
- Exercise internal financial control within assigned tasks to ensure financial discipline in the organization.
- Prepare data for statistical reports and forms, and assist in closing accounting periods.
- Prepare copies of accounting reports and documents as needed by employees or for submission to relevant authorities.
- Ensure the accuracy of prepared operations, reports, and statements.
- In the absence of the chief accountant, substitute them by performing accounting entries according to the regulations.
- Execute additional tasks related to the position as assigned by the chief accountant and the manager.
- Regularly report on activities to the manager and chief accountant.

Work Conditions:
Employment contract with part-time engagement (4 hours per day).
Salary: 916 BGN gross for the mentioned part-time engagement.
Location: Online and at one of the organization's offices in the country, with priority given to Dobrich or Sofia.
