Alexander, his wife and daughter live in the occupied territories. When they realise that they no longer have a future in their hometown, they undertake a long and hard journey through Georgia and Turkey. Finally they reach Bulgaria and are accommodated in a facility in Burgas.
Alexander, however, needs to take his life in his hands. So he contacted the FAR team, who helped the family with legal advice and guidance on how to organise their life in Bulgaria.
Alexander decides to move to Sliven, where rents are lower, and makes a dream come true - he starts his own business. He rented a premises, developed the production machines himself and today he is successfully producing ecological pellets for heating. All the time he stays in contact with the FAR team - the people who have given him a hand in his time of need. Now on his feet himself, he started helping other refugees by helping them with employment. His daughter goes to school and his wife helps in the family business. A Ukrainian family building their future in Bulgaria.
