Our director and lead counsel in the case, Valeria Ilareva, has represented Mr Changu for 24 years, and together with the FAIR team we continue to fight for his rights. 

Last week, the Bulgarian administrative authority once again denied him humanitarian status — despite the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Case C-352/23 [Changu] and favourable decisions by two national courts — the Administrative Court of Sofia City and the Supreme Administrative Court.
